"The Difference Between Wrong and Right" reimagines the banana—an everyday object loaded with cultural and political weight, tied to patriarchy, white supremacy, colonial exploitation, and the policing of sexuality. Referencing Warhol’s pop imagery and the Velvet Underground’s way of digging into taboo, the work calls out how systems of power try to define morality and take away autonomy. Teetering between desire and discomfort, it asks viewers to think about where the line between “wrong” and “right” is drawn, and who really benefits from those boundaries.
